My take on Stardust Team Assignment Group Project

The one tool that I think that is the most promising is high speed internet delivery. This does not rely on voice, text or audio but they all rely on it. If a person wants to use these successfully and without allot of frustration they need reliable fast internet. I have dial up :-(

Assignment 1: Google Talk

I have used Google Talk this week and talked to a few classmates. I like the chat feature and have used it more than the call feature. I have dial up and the call feature is to choppy to use to be of much use. I did use it to get my son to come up stairs a few days ago. He has a Google account already and was surprised when his computer started to ring.

This could be used for distance learning. You can see when your classmates are online and they can see when you are. If you have a question you can ask them then instead of waiting for office hours and vise-a-versa. I think it is more convenient.

Assignment 3 Create Survey

The findings that I received:
I had 100% completion.
Everyone took the survey between 5 + 11 PM
Everyone feels comfortable using the computer (a 5 on a 1-5 scale w/ 5 being the highest)
75% used the computer for the first time before they were 10.
50% use the computer to pass the time.

My experience with SurveyMonkey has been positive. I think if you want a more in depth survey you will have to pay the extra amount, but for little surveys-like end of class reviews this would work good.
